Support between prescriptions

Most of what makes GLP-1 treatment work happens between prescriptions: catching nausea or constipation early, deciding when a dose is ready to go up, and noticing a stall before it becomes a quit. That is why messaging with clinical staff is part of the base price, and why being close by helps if you add the +$49/month in-office upgrade with weekly weigh-ins.

University Area medical weight loss — common questions

How close is the clinic to USF?

Under ten minutes from USF and most of the University area outside rush hour. We are at 5340 E 131st Ave, Suite 106, with free parking at the door.

Do I have to come in every week?

No. The base program runs on a telehealth consult and text or email messaging with clinical staff, so a busy week does not leave you without support. Weekly in-person weigh-ins are part of the +$49/month in-office upgrade, for patients who want them.

What does it cost?

Semaglutide starts at $149 for the first month, then $199 a month. Tirzepatide starts at $199, then $249 a month up to 7.5 mg per week or $299 above it. The medication is included. Lab work, if your physician orders it, is billed separately.

Is it open to students?

Adults are seen after a physician assessment. GLP-1 medicine is prescribed only when it is medically appropriate, and your physician will tell you if it is not right for you.
